Privacy Policy

01Information we collect

Silent Shield collects minimal data, only what is strictly necessary for the app to function:

• Device identifier, a unique ID generated on first launch and stored locally. Used to identify your device as an authorized encryption recipient. Never transmitted.
• Purchase history, processed entirely by Google Play. We receive only confirmation that a purchase was made (plan type); no payment details.
• App settings, your preferences (theme, language, authentication method) stored locally.

02Data security

Security is the core of Silent Shield. All sensitive data is protected by multiple layers:

• Strong encryption, content is encrypted with a modern cipher before being stored.
• Secure key derivation, passwords are never stored directly; they are transformed into cryptographic keys.
• Android Keystore, subscription and session data in hardware-backed, tamper-resistant storage.
• Biometric authentication, optional fingerprint / face unlock.
• Screenshot prevention, screenshots and screen recording are blocked at the system level.
• No backup, app data is excluded from Android cloud backups.

03Third-party services

Silent Shield uses only one third-party service: Google Play Billing, which handles in-app purchases (we receive only purchase status and plan type). We do not use advertising networks, analytics platforms, crash-reporting tools, or social-media SDKs.

04Your rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control at all times:

• Access & deletion, uninstalling the app permanently deletes all local data, including encrypted content, settings, and your device ID.
• Data portability, your encrypted files can be shared or transferred at any time from within the app.
• Subscription management, manage or cancel anytime through Google Play.

05Children's privacy

Silent Shield is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

06Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date will reflect changes.
