About the project
Silent Shield works entirely on your phone, no internet, no account and no servers. It encrypts text, images, audio, video and documents in layers, using XChaCha20-Poly1305 and AES-256-GCM with keys derived from your password by Argon2id. It can then hide the encrypted data inside an ordinary-looking carrier, a photo, a sound file, a video or even a piece of text, so nobody can tell that a secret is there. You decide who can open it: content can be locked to specific devices or opened only once, and a wrong key simply shows the harmless carrier, revealing nothing. The app itself is protected by fingerprint or password, blocks screenshots, and offers an emergency wipe. Files sent through WhatsApp, Telegram or email can be decrypted straight from the share menu.
